Half Day Seminar “Introduction to Mooring”

Synopsis

A mooring system is made up of a mooring line, anchor and connectors, and is used for station keeping of a ship or floating platform in all water depths. A mooring line connects an anchor on the seabed to a floating structure. During this course an introduction to the different types of mooring systems for offshore floating structures (Floating Production Systems, Semi- Submersible, Tension Leg Platform and Spar) will be presented.

The Seminar will be conducted by Diane Destrez & Tore Hordvik, Mooring & Hydrodynamics Engineer, DNV Deepwater Technology Centre, Region South East Asia and Pacific.

The seminar will be held as follows:
